Hello, my stamping friend!
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I have a quick but very impressive Valentine’s card to share with you. It’s one of those fun folds that looks complicated but comes together in minutes. This design is sure to put a smile on the recipient’s face.
For this project, we’ll be using the Endless Love Bundle along with coordinating Designer Series Paper, ribbon, and embellishments. It’s playful, interactive, and perfect for Valentine’s Day. Let’s get started.
Measurements:
- Real Red CS: 4 1/4 x 11"; 7/8 x 2 3/8"; piece for die-cutting
- Basic White: 3/4 x 2 1/4"; 1/2 and 3/4" strips, 4 x 5 1/4" 9for inside)
- DSP: 1 x 4; 4 x 4";
Instructions:
- Start with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of cardstock. Score it on the long side at 4 1/4 and 5 1/2 inches. Fold the card in half so the smaller flap is on the left
- On the 4 1/4‑inch section, score diagonally from the bottom left corner to the top right corner. Fold that diagonal section down to create the funky fold.
- Take a 4 x 4 piece of Designer Series Paper and cut it diagonally from the top right to the bottom left corner. Adhere each triangle to the two diagonal sections of the card front.
- Add a narrow strip of DSP to the spine of the card.
- Stamp hearts in Real Red on a piece of Basic White and adhere it inside the card. Apply glue to the spine piece and close the card so everything lines up neatly.
- Die-cut a large heart from Real Red cardstock. Randomly stamp small hearts on it for texture.
- Stamp your sentiment in Real Red on strips of Basic White. Add Dimensionals and adhere it across the heart.
- Cut a doily in half and adhere it behind the bottom of the heart for a soft layered look.
- Add the heart to the lower triangle of the card front using Dimensionals—only on the section that will attach to the triangle so the card can still open properly.
- To create the stopper, adhere a 3/4 x 2 1/4 piece of Basic White to a slightly larger Real Red layer, add with dimensionals inside the card. Die cut “XO” twice and adhere it to the stopper.
- Finish with a few embellishments and a bow
Your card is ready. Isn’t it pretty? Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. I hope this project inspires you to create something sweet for someone special.
