World Traveler in Retiring Colors

Happy Friday, my stamping friend!
I am  finally spending more time in my stamping room. And funny - every card I created recently is using 2014-2016 in-colors that are retiring soon. Looks like I just can not get enough of them.
Here is guy card using Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss:
The World Map background stamp will be retiring too, sniff-sniff. I love it so much:
If you love those colors - buy before they are gone.

April Paper Pumpkin Card

Happy Tuesday, stamping friend!
Did you see April Paper Pumpkin? I was so excited to see actual kit during On Stage event in Salt Lake City (my own was at home waiting for me). I am card maker, but absolutely love 3D projects - especially when they come in Paper Pumpkin. All work is done for me, everything pre-cut, everything included! And April kit was just amazing. To make such beautiful wreath in 30 minutes! Unbelievable.

I had a lot of leafs left and wanted to make a card that goes with the wreath.  Deena Rekow's video gave me the idea, this is what I came up with:
This is how I did it:
  • Start with 4 x 5 1/4 piece of whisper white card stock. Punch 2" circle from scrap piece of paper and trace it into whisper white.
  • Cut leafs from 2 strips included in paper Pumpkin, you will have few left
  • I used Tombow glue. Apply glue on traced line and start gluing your leafs. This process is very quick and easy and wet glue will let you re-position leafs if needed.
  • Stamp sentiment in Mossy Meadow, color flowers with Hello Honey markers, add pearls
  • Punch flowers from scrap tissue paper, adhere with glue, add pearls.
  • Adhere whisper white piece to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Hello Honey scored at 4 1/4.
This is close look of the wreath:

Hope You like this project. Give it a try. Sign Up for Paper Pumpkin if you are not a subscriber yet!

Saying Goodbye - Fun Flower Punch and Birthday Bouquet Paper

Happy Monday, stamping friends!
Today I would like to share with you 3 cards I received as swaps during On Stage. All three cards are using my favorite designer paper - Birthday Bouquet. As you probably noticed in my last several posts - I use that paper and stamp set a lot. I just can not get enough of it! Last week Stampin Up! announced the retired list and this paper is there (while supplies last). I was so excited to see other demonstrators love this paper as much as I do!
This card was made by Pat Chastain. She also used Fun Flower punch that are on retired list as well.
Next two cards were made by Phyllis Shepherd. I love the simplicity and elegance of those cards, sometimes less is more. And she showcases how to use your DSP to create quick cards:

Sneak Peak From Upcoming Catalog

Happy Wednesday, my stamping friend!
Last week I was lucky to attend Stampin Up! On Stage Live event in Salt Lake City. It was wonderful event - spending time with my stamping friends, meeting new ones, sharing ideas, great food and of course - reveal of new catalog. This even was very special for me. I dreamed to attend Manager's reception for years (now it is called Centre Stage). I finally turned my dream into reality when promoted to Silver Elite in October and was able to attend Centre Stage this time in Salt Lake City! It was amazing, everything I dreamed about and much more. I was also recognized on stage for the promotion and my picture made to Shelli's blog:
Thank you to all of you who supported me by attending my classes, placing orders and being part of Fun Stampers team.
Today I would like to share with you 4 cards I made with the stamp set we all received at On Stage event. I made those cards for my downlines - they are all the same, just different colors:

I used note cards as a base and stamped main image on 4 different color card stock, than cut it in pieces.  This set also has other sayings like: You Are - Invited, It's Your - Birthday. This make the set very versatile.
Thank You for stopping by.

Mother Day Blog Hop

Happy Saturday, stamping friends!
Welcome to Team Stamp It April Blog Hop. The theme is Mother's Day and I decided once again to use my favorite stamp set -  "Birthday Bloom".
I absolutely love this rose image. BUT! I miss my blendabilities to color it. Well, I know I can use watercolor paper, but I do not always want to use that heavyweight paper on my cards. How about making my own kind of alcohol ink?
This was so easy and quick! Just add few drops of reinker to the block, lightly dilute it with alcohol and start painting! Start as light as possible and add more colors! It is just amazing - the effect is the same as blendebilities: whisper white paper stays nice and smooth and you can create many shades with just one reinker color. For this card I used Watermelon Wonder and Old Olive reinkers. I liked the striped background of the card abowe but did not have any left in Blushing Bride color. So I decided to paint my own paper as well:
Made several in Pool Party and Blushing Bride. Loved this technique so much, and was keep painting:
I am bringing those cards as swap for On Stage Stampin Up! even in Salt Lake City. This card is also April "Thank You" card for my customers.

Which One is your favorite background? Please leave me a comment and you will have a chance to win Watercolor Wishes Card kit:
