Half Full - Birthday

Hello, my stamping friend.
Today I want to share a card we made at my Crafting Happy Hour class at local wine shop. This card uses Half Full stamp set - perfect set for wine lovers!

Of course - when I saw that set in the catalog, it was my #1 to have.
The card is very simple and is great to create in multiples.

Cutting Measurements:
  • Whisper White Thick: 5 ½ x 8 ½ ” card base;
  • Whisper White CS: 3 ¼ x 4 ½ ”
  • Berry Burst CS: 3 3/8 x 4 5/8 ”
  • Watercolor paper: about 3 x 4
Instructions:
  1. Create card front from thick Whisper White CS by scoring at 4 ¼ ”.
  2. Stamp wine bottle, glass and part of the tag with grape on scrap watercolor paper in archival black ink. Using Aqua painter to paint stamped images with old olive ink and berry burst. Just squeeze the lid of the ink pads to transfer the ink to the lid and use it as a pallet. Let the images dry then cut them with the paper snips. Set aside.
  3. Stamp “Happy Birthday” image in top right side of the whisper with piece. Mount into berry burst mat. Then adhere to the card base with snail.
  4. Adhere bottle with snail and wine glass and grape with dimensionals. Embellish with pearls.

Happy Stamping.

Holiday Team Stamp It Blog Hop

Hello my stamping friend and welcome to Team Stamp It Holiday blog hop.
I love to make Christmas cards, love fancy folds but always short on time. I am sure you can relate.  Good news - fancy folds can be very easy to make and perfect for mass production:
This fold is called Gate Fold. There are many cards designed with this fold and various stamp sets/dies. I decided to make my card very simple, but elegant. I absolutely love new designer paper and wanted to use it on this card:
I used Fresh Fig card stock/ink for this card and gold design of the designer paper and gold foil for the oval.
And Smoky Slate CS and ink/Basic Grey ink and champagne foil with snowflake patter of the DSP.
How Tos:
  • Card Base is 8 x 4 1/4". Score at 1 1/4 and 2 1/5 on both ends of 8" side.
  • Designer Paper - 4 pieces 1 x 4". You can make 9 cards from one sheet of DSP!
  • Center panel - whisper white 2 3/4 x 4"
  • Long piece to hold the gate - 1 x 5 1/2" (same color as you card base). I also added 3/4 x 5 1/2 " whisper white piece to make the band 'stronger'
This is very easy and quick to put together. There is one trick to it. Decorate you card first (stamp, adhere all pieces). Do the same with the long piece and add you sentiment in the center. Then add 2 rows of tear tape to the back of  both sides of the long piece.
Fold one end of the card, and leave another flat. This will make the card measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Now just adhere the band where you would like. It is so easy!

Blog Hop - Thanksgiving

Hello, my stamping friend and welcome to Team Stamp It blog Hop.
I would like to share with you my "Give Thanks" box. Not sure about you, but "Thank You" type of cards are the most used by me. And still - I realize I do not use them as often as I could. Possibly because I do not have appropriate card on hand, and even so I have all good intentions to make few cards same evening and send -  it fails through. So my Thanksgiving resolution is to have cards on hand for month of November and use them! At least 1 per day.
"Thank you" cards not necessary need to be complicated and time consuming. Note cards and envelopes are just perfect for this and cut making time in half.
Here is my "Give Thanks" project:

I used my favorite fall stamps from Holiday catalog and Painted Autumn DSP.

Box is very easy to make. I uses 2 pieces of 4 1/4 x 6 1/2 card stock, scored at1 1/4 along4 1/2 side and 2 and 6" along 6 1/2" side.
I created cards in 4 designs,  you will have 5 of each design from one pack of note cards:

What design is your favorite? Do you use note cards? How many "Thank You" cards are you committed to give next month? Leave a comment for a chance to win a prize.
Thank You for stopping by. Continue hoping for more great ideas from Team Stamp It.
