Hello, my stamping friend and Happy Monday.
With Valentine's Day approaching - I have a quick card for you to share.
Once again I went for a soft look with gold and calypso coral. The heart is stamped in early espresso and colored with blends. The piece of "Bundle of Love" DSP, ombre ribbon and gold flakes - the card is done.

Team Stamp It Blog Hope - Valentine

Hello my stamping friend and thank you for stopping by.
After some break I finally am participating in Team Stamp It blog Hop again. I was exited about the Valentine theme and knew from the beginning what stamp set I want to use - "More than Chocolate". See, I am a big dark chocolate lover and quite picky one (it needs to be very good, otherwise it will not pass the test, haha). Everybody in my family know about this, of course. And for Valentine - my husband always finds me special chocolate and chocolate covered strawberries. This is why that set spoke to me. The card will be perfect not only for my husband but for my kids and friends that know me well.
I went for soft look with Brushing Bride and Calypso Coral. I used the Bundle of Love DSP.
I used gold side of DSP on that card and blushing bride on Calypso coral one:
I stamped the heart in Blushing Bride and then outlines of candies in early espresso. The inside of candies are in early espresso too. I used blends in Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake to color each of them. They looked OK, but were missing something. So I got fine tip glue and covered each of the candy to create slight 3D effect and give them some shine. Hope you can see it on the picture.
Actual card makes me want chocolate:)
Now I think I will go make another one with real red paper and emboss saying in white.
If you like the card or chocolate - leave me a comment for a chance to win the prize.
Continue to hop alone for more Valentine ideas:

Heartfelt Thanks - Pick Your Color

Hello, my stamping friend.
Last week I saw a card created by BJ Peters. I loved the design and decided to CASE it for my Wine class in different color and few modifications. Later that week I was curious how the same Heartfelt Bloom image will look in different colors. Here is what I got:

Of course, I did not try every color, just 8 that came to my mind. The layout is very simple and very economical (what I always love). You will not end up with scraps of paper and can easily mass produce and change the color.
Measurements:
  • Whisper White CS: 2 5/8 x 4 1/4" (you will get 8 from one sheet)
  • Basic Gray (or other dark from Neutral family): 2 3/4 x 4 1/4" (you will get 8 from one sheet)
  • Light CS (i used Lemon Lime twist, Powder Pink and Soft Sky): 3 5/8 x 4 1/4" (you get 6 from one sheet)
  • Card base (any color): 8 1/2 x 4 1/4"
I used Basic Gray ink  for sentiment and flower is the same ink color as card base. Very easy. If you have few light layers, try to mix and match to see what will go best with your card base color.
Dapper Denim:
Fresh Fig:
Peekaboo Peach:
Bermuda Bay:
Wisteria Wonder - both colors of light looks good:
Sweet Sugarplum:
Melon Mamboo:
Crushed Curry:
What color is your favorite? What other color you would like to use for this card?
Give it a try. The stamp set and ribbon are free with $50 order as part of SAB.
