CASE Monday - Avant Garden

Hello, my stamping friend.
I will be starting new series called CASE Monday. We all love to check Pinterest or our favorite stamping sites for ideas before creating. Or sometime you come across the idea and would like to stop everything and go make that card. This series will be just that - my favorite ideas from other crafters with some twist.
Colorful Avant Garden idea came after watching Tami White's video. Tami is my upline and I love to follow her creations. After watching that video - I immediately dropped everything to try recreate cards in different colors. Here is my take on it:
I just changed greeting stamp as I needed some Thank You cards and tried another color combos.
This is original card using Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral:
This one is Soft Sky and Marina Mist, I also used Pear Pizazz instead of Mint Macaroon for the leafs
Crushed Curry and So Saffron:

Sweet Sugarplum and Pretty in Pink:
 How Tos:
  • Card front is 8.5 x 5.5 piece of cardstock scorred at 4 1/4
  • Whisper white - 4 x 5 1/4. Take a framelit that you will use for sentiment and lightly trace inside of it on the whisper white piece. This will give you idea where to stamp flowers and leaves
  • Stamp flowers and leaves as desired. Adhere to cardfront
  • Cut 2 leaves from copper foil with Botanical framlit. Adhere to the whisper white stamped piece.
  • Stamp sentiment on a scrap of whisper white, cut with the ftamelit
  • Add greeting with dimenstionals
This is it! I suggest to do 2 cards each of the same color. You also have an option to use Mint Macaroon as a card front.
What Color is your favorite? What other combinations you can think of? Leave me a comment and I will send you one of this cards.

Lift Me Up Set of 12 Cards

Hello, my stamping friend.
Today I want to share with you 12 cards I made using Lift Me Up bundle. The idea came directly from Stampin Up! video where Brandy showed how to make 12 cards. They are all using same layouts, same supplies, but all completely different. Easy but are looking involved - this is my kind of stamping! I decided to post exact measurements to have reference later.
First 6 cards are "hamburger" style - when you cut your cardstock at 5.5 x 8.5 and score at 4 1/4:
You will need:
  1. Mint Macaroon and Watermelon Wonder card stock 3 each: 5.5 x 8.5, scored at 4.25
  2. Designer Paper: 4 x 5.25 and scraps 0.75 x 4 for banners
  3. Whisper white: 3.5 x 3 to stamp  air balloons and clouds. For this type of layout you will position cardstock with 3.5" side on top
  4. Whisper White for greetings: 1 x 3 3/4
  5. Bakers Twine: 34" to wrap around the side twice.
You can mix and match designer paper and banners to create one of a king card. Here is a closer look for one of them:
Next 6 cards are "hotdog" style - when you cut your cardstock at 4 1/4 x 11 and score at 5.5:

You will need:
  1. Peekaboo Peach and Smoky Slate card stock 3 each: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 4.5
  2. Designer Paper: 4 x 5.25 and scraps 0.75 x 4 for banners
  3. Whisper white: 3.5 x 3 to stamp  air balloons and clouds. For this type of layout you will position cardstock with 3" side on top when do stamping
  4. Whisper White for greetings: 1 x 3 3/4
  5. Bakers Twine: 30" to wrap around the bottom twice.
Closer look for one of the cards:

As You can see - supplies are the same. You can cut your DSP, banners and whisper white pieces at the same time, only card base is cut differently.
Here is a video I am referring to:
Hope you like it as much as I do - give it a try!

Two for One - Happy Anniversary

Hello, my stamping friend.
It has been a while since I last posted on my blog. I am still stamping on regular basis, held at least 3 classes this month, just no time to photograph and post.
Today I want to share with you a card we made at Crafting Happy Hour class at my local wine shop. We used Sealed with Love bundle and coordinating products. They are all perfect to celebrate love in our everyday life (not just on Valentine's day). And Anniversary card is just that perfect occasion.
The layout idea came from the card I made for swap and than again for January class:

Even so they look so different and use different supplies - layout is exactly the same.
How Tos:
  • Card front is 5.5 x 8.5" scored in half at 4.25
  • Whisper White /or Very Vanilla - 4 x 5.25, stamp sentiment in bottom right and additional background around the other edges
  • Designer paper 2x3 - 2 pieces, matted to 2.25x 3.25 pieces of coordinated cardstock
  • Wrap a ribbon around one DSP piece, adhere to the left edge flat, add second piece of matted dsp with Dimensionals
  • Embellish the piece without ribbon (optional).

This is very quick layout and great for mass production. Give it a try!
