Blog Hop - Thanksgiving

Hello, my stamping friend and welcome to Team Stamp It blog Hop.
I would like to share with you my "Give Thanks" box. Not sure about you, but "Thank You" type of cards are the most used by me. And still - I realize I do not use them as often as I could. Possibly because I do not have appropriate card on hand, and even so I have all good intentions to make few cards same evening and send -  it fails through. So my Thanksgiving resolution is to have cards on hand for month of November and use them! At least 1 per day.
"Thank you" cards not necessary need to be complicated and time consuming. Note cards and envelopes are just perfect for this and cut making time in half.
Here is my "Give Thanks" project:

I used my favorite fall stamps from Holiday catalog and Painted Autumn DSP.

Box is very easy to make. I uses 2 pieces of 4 1/4 x 6 1/2 card stock, scored at1 1/4 along4 1/2 side and 2 and 6" along 6 1/2" side.
I created cards in 4 designs,  you will have 5 of each design from one pack of note cards:

Design 2:

Design 3:

What design is your favorite? Do you use note cards? How many "Thank You" cards are you committed to give next month? Leave a comment for a chance to win a prize.
Thank You for stopping by. Continue hoping for more great ideas from Team Stamp It.

Eclipse card - Painted Harvest

Hello, my stamping friend.
Finally I jumped on 'eclipse card making' wagon too. Eclipse cards are very popular right now, many talented stampers are coming up with different ideas. I decided to use Painted Harvest stamp and 'You' as a word:
Few tips for you:
  • decide where your eclipse word will go, then stamp sentiment to coordinate on whisper white card stock.
  • Stamp your background as you normally would.
  • Place letter framelits and run through big shot. Make sure you collect all pieces (important). in my case - center from O needed to be saved
  • Adhere whisper white piece to early espresso card stock with snail. If you have any other small pieces (not actual letter) - adhere them with snail too. Use letters as a guide.
  • Add adhesive strips to the back of letters. Add them to the card. Adhesive strips is a key!
Here is the closer look of each card. I used Sweet Sugarplum/Rich Raspberry comp for flowers:

Soft Sky/Bermuda Bay combo for flowers:

Think about any 2-4 letter words that you can use on eclipse cards and go for it. My next projects will be with words - WINE, LOVE, MOM.
What will you create?
Happy Stamping!

CASE Monday - Painted Harvest

Hello, my stamping friend!
And Happy Monday. Today I am CASing my own case from several months ago. This layout is my "go to" for quick cards. I tried to recreate it once again with my new favorite set - Painted Harvest.

Peekaboo Peach/Pumpkin Pie combo for flower with crumb cake for center and Old Olive for leaves:
Pool Party/Bermuda Bay for flowers and garden green for leaves
New in-color combo: Powder Pink/Berry Burst, Lemon Lime twist:
Another in-color combo: Powder Pink/Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide
Sweet Sugarplum/Rich Raspberry:
This was most unusual combo - sweet sugarplum/soft suede for flower. It gives the card very natural look:
Leaves are punched from vellum and champagne/copper foil.
 How Tos:

  • Card front is 8.5 x 5.5 piece of card stock scored at 4 1/4
  • Whisper white - 4 x 5 1/4. Take a framelit that you will use for sentiment and lightly trace inside of it on the whisper white piece. This will give you idea where to stamp flowers and leaves
  • Stamp flowers and leaves as desired. Adhere to card front
  • Punch accent leaves from vellum and foil. You can stamp on velum first than punch
  • Stamp sentiment on a scrap of whisper white, cut with the ftamelit
  • Add greeting with dimenstionals
  • You can add extra layer of soft sued between card front and white piece. If desired, reduce the whisper white piece to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and cut soft sued 4 x 5 1/4.
That is all.Very quick to make and with so many colors - possibilities are endless! What color combo will you choose?
Place any order in my store and receive 2 of them in the mail.
Happy Stamping!
