Welcome to our monthly Team Stamp It Blog Hop. The theme this months is Father's Day. We all know that it is not that easy to come up with nice masculine card (and we need a lot of them for men in our lives). Hope you will get some great ideas from this hop.
I have always wanted to try to create the 'shirt' card, but I never did. Well, today is the day. I decided to use brand new products that are coming in 2016-2017 Catalog. One of them is Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack. It features all new in-colors, very playful and bright - just perfect for my 'shirt' card:
How To's:
- Start with 4 1/4 x 11 Very Vanilla card base, scored at 5 1/2
- Place folded card on Stampin’ Trimmer with the folded edge at 3/4". Cut in 1” from top edge to the 3-1/4” mark. Cut in 1” from bottom edge from to 1” mark.
Open card. Cut a diagonal from the edge of card just above score line to end of the 1” cut to remove a triangular section.
NOTE: Red dashed line represents the scored line.
- Create a tie from 1 x 4 1/4 piece of card stock. I used envelop board to do that. For pocket - use 1 x 1 piece of very vanilla card stock.
- Adhere 4 1/4 x 4 3/4 piece of Designer Series Paper to main section of card front. Fold card closed and place face up. Add Sticky Strip to outside and bottom edge of collar and covering the brad backs.
Fold collar edges in to center
and angled down so top corner of collar meets top center of tie. Press folds to flatten collar sides
I also used new copper embossing powder to add greeting to the tie. Hope you like the project and will give the 'shirt' card a try. Leave a comment and you will have a chance to win a prize!
