APPT February Blog Hop

Hello, my stamping friend!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I’m excited to share two projects I created using the February Paper Pumpkin kit. This month I challenged myself to stick as closely as possible to the contents of the box and add only the essentials. Creating simple projects with limited supplies is always a fun stretch for me, and I loved how these turned out.

I made a twisted easel card and a basket treat holder—both quick, fun, and perfect for showcasing the beautiful elements in this month’s kit.

๐ŸŒธ Twisted Easel Card

For the card base, I used a 4¼" x 11" piece of Shy Shamrock, scored at 5½", and then scored the front panel diagonally to create the easel fold.

  • The focal panel is adhered to the bottom triangle on the inside of the card.
  • Flowers from the kit act as a stopper to hold the easel open.
  • I added a simple bow for a soft finishing touch.

This fold is so easy, but creates such a fun display piece.

๐Ÿงบ Basket Treat Holder

For the basket, I started with the back half of a card base I didn’t end up using.

  • Score all four sides at ½" to form the top portion of the basket.
  • On the 5½" side, score at 2½" and 3" to shape the sides.

For the bottom, I used a slightly larger piece of Basic Beige, measuring 5¼" x 6½", scored at 1" on all sides. This gives the basket a sturdy base.

The handle is ½" x 8½", and I decorated it with a tag and flower from the kit.

๐ŸŒผ Bonus Project

I also created an extra card using the front portion of the card base I cut for the basket. It uses the same twisted easel fold as the first card—nothing goes to waste around here!

Thank you again for visiting today.

I hope these ideas inspire you to open your kit and start creating. Make sure to join us next month for our hop, and don’t forget to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin so you never miss the fun.
