Hey Chick in a two Colors

 Hello, my stamping friend

Here is the card we made at Crafting Happy Hour card class. I used Hey Birthday Chick stamp set and Oh So Ombre DSP. Because this DSP is reversible - everybody had a choice of a what color to make with the same supplies:

This is Rococo Rose One:
This is Bermuda Bay:

Same Supplies, just different ink color for the greetings.

Measurements:

  • Thick Basic White:
  • Basic White: 2 1/2 x 5 1/2; 1 x 3"; scrap for stamping;
  • Ombre DSP: (2) 1/2 1 x 5 1/2"; scrap for balloon;
  • Gold: (2) 1/2 x 5 1/2";

Chicken is colored with blends.

Interestingly enough 13 of my ladies did Bermuda Bay and only one - Rococo Rose!

Which one would you make?

Two for One Tuesday - Hydrangea Haven

 Hello my stamping friend

Today I want to share with you my To Go easy layout. I love using it for a quick card and feature beautiful design paper.

Measurements:

  • Gorgeous Grape CS: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"
  • Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4"; piece for stamping;
  • DSP: 2 x 5 1/4";
  • Old Olive CS: (2) 1/2 x 5 1/4";

You can use 2 pieces of Basic white measuring 1 x 5 1/4". But because I always have 4 x 5 1/4" piece pre-cut I use those measurements.

Second card uses same layout but Basic White and DSP are reversed.

This time I wanted to save on DSP, so I used smaller pieces instead one big piece:

Measurements:

  • Gorgeous Grape CS: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"
  • Basic White: 1 3/4  x 5 1/4"; piece for stamping;
  • DSP: (2) 1 x 5 1/4";
  • Old Olive CS: (2) 1/2 x 5 1/4";

The Hydrangea flower on those 3 cards were stamped differently: darkest is Gorgeous grape stamped of, other two were using Highlander Heather - one full strength and second one stamped of. I used blends after to add extra color and dimension.

As you can see - both cards are using same supplies and same amount of DSP. Which one is your favorite?

Art Gallery Funky Fold

 Hello my stamping friend.

Today I want to share with you a beautiful card featuring Art Gallery Suite of products. We made this card at wine class and it was a favorite card for many of my stampers. This card also is a funky fold, but super simple.

This is how it looks inside.

Measurements:

  • Flirty Flamingo CS: 5 ½ x 8 ½”
  • Basic White CS: (2) 3 x 5 ¼”, 3 ¼ x 3 ¼”; scrap for label
  • Old Olive CS; 3 ¼ x 3 ¼”l • Gold Foil: 3/8 x 3:
  • DSP: 1 x 5 ¼”

Instructions:

  1. Score Flirty Flamingo CS at 4 ¼ and 7 ½” on 8 ½” side.
  2. Emboss one piece of Basic White card stock with Painted Texture embossing folder. Adhere to the card front.
  3. Randomly stamp folded 1” flap of the card with a flower center stamp in flirty flamingo ink. Fold over and adhere over the embossed piece.
  4. Die cut largest stitched circle from basic white and corresponding scalloped circle from Old Olive card stocks.
  5. Stamp large flower in flirty flamingo ink on stitched circle. Stamp second layer in Poppy parade ink. Stamp leaves in old olive. Adhere 2 circled together, add to the card front with dimensionals.
  6. Stamp a sentiment in old olive ink. Die cut with label die. Adhere Gold foil strip behind the sentiment. Add to the card with dimensionals.
  7. Add large gold dot to the center of the flower and 2 small ones to the sentiment.
  8. Tie a bow and add to the flower with a glue dot.
  9. For inside: stamp a small flower on a second piece of basic white piece in flirty flamingo ink. Stamp flower center in Poppy Parade ink. Adhere to the inside of the card. Adhere DSP next to it.

Give this fold a try!
